The Batemans Bay Heritage Museum proudly presents Cats & Dogs All at Sea, a travelling exhibition from the Australian National Maritime Museum. Launched with a special talk by Dr Jodie Stewart, exploring the fascinating history of ships cats and their place in maritime life.

About the event
The Batemans Bay Heritage Museum is proud to host Cats & Dogs All at Sea, a travelling exhibition from the Australian National Maritime Museum. Featuring striking photographs by renowned maritime photographer Samuel Hood, taken between 1900 and 1950, the exhibition shines a light on the cats, dogs, and other animals who lived and worked alongside sailors at sea.
The launch will include a special talk by Dr Jodie Stewart, historian of cats and culture, who will explore the fascinating stories of ship cats and their place in maritime life.
After the presentation, enjoy light refreshments and be among the first to view this captivating exhibition.
Admission: Current museum entry fees apply for the public. Free for members of the Clyde River & Batemans Bay Historical Society.
